The above photo of Packers rookie and former University of Alabama standout Eddie Lacy made the rounds on Twitter on Monday afternoon, as many said it showed that Lacy was woefully out of shape. In truth, it was just a really unflattering photo.

He’s a bigger running back, for sure, but not the overweight shlub the photo would have you believe.
Now, Lacy did show up to camp weighing 238 pounds, which is seven pounds more than he weighed at the NFL combine, so the photo does seem to tap into some concerns that the rookie wasn’t as vigilant with his fitness this offseason as he should have been.
That being said, he was seven pounds heavier, not 20. It’s an unflattering photo, and Lacy will most likely be ready to go when the season starts. As someone who’s detagged roughly four-fifths of the photos of myself on Facebook, I say we give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.
