British director Stephen Frears and writer John Hodge are teaming up to make a biopic of disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong, and American actor Ben Foster has emerged as the project’s star, according to Deadline.com. Foster, a low-profile actor, is perhaps most well-known for his role in the 2009 drama The Messenger. No release date for the film has been set, but 2014 could prove to be the year of Armstrong movies: Director JJ Abrams has secured the rights for the film adaptation of Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong, a forthcoming book by New York Timessports reporter Juliet Macur.
