Lincoln gives Roosevelt flying tackle in Washington Nationals’ presidents race

As a child sitting in history class, I always thought about the day I would see Abraham Lincoln attack Teddy Roosevelt during a baseball game.
And sure enough, that’s exactly what happened at the Nationals’ win over the Mets on Saturday, when the Great Emancipator sacrificed his own chance at winning to hide at the final turn, looking for a chance to strike (via the Nationals’ Tumblr):

Of course, it could have been worse. It could have been a Sharknado.
