Some football players, following in the footsteps of New York’s Justin Tuck, are switching to highly protective facemasks to prevent getting poked in the face or to simply look different. Washington Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo has taken facemasks to a new level. In June, he teased an original design modeled after Bane, Batman’s nemesis in The Dark Knight Rises. At Redskins training camp in Richmond, Va., the new look was unveiled.
