David Ortiz obliterated a dugout phone with his bat

Telemarketers are EVERYWHERE.
You wouldn’t like David Ortiz when he’s angry. (Mark L. Baer, USA TODAY Sports)
David Ortiz probably isn’t the most composed guy on the Boston Red Sox roster. He dropped an expletive during a national broadcast (though it was an impassioned one, and he faced no fine for it). But on Saturday night, Big Papi went full “Office Space.”
Ortiz thought he had earned his third walk of the evening with a 7-2 lead on the Baltimore Orioles in the seventh inning, but the home plate umpire ruled the 3-0 pitch a strike even though Big Papi was headed towards first. Ortiz eventually struck out and had words with the home plate umpire about the sequence.
And then, this happened (GIF courtesy of TheScore):
BIG PAPI SMASH.
BIG PAPI SMASH.
You can probably deduce that Ortiz was ejected.
As hard as it is to condone reckless property damage, let he who hasn’t felt this urge smash the first phone (or, uh, place it softly in the receiver).
